Welcome to the first half of our master bedroom! This is the view that greets us every time we step into the doors of our bedroom. We have built a half-height cabinet that houses a chest of 6 drawers and 4 large open shelves.
This is my hidden vanity area! We requested for a flip-up mirror, with access to the drawer from the top. It's a standing vanity as I did not want a chair blocking our access to the cabinet doors and drawers.
As we have different work schedules, we planned to have this Halo Twin lights for the dresser area, with the bulbs facing the wardobe. That way, when I get up at 5am to get ready, the husband's sleep isn't affected. Our lights are also dimmable, which are perfect!
Here's a sneak peek of the drawer that houses my skincare, makeup and essentials! Not very aesthetic, but functional. At least the clutter is kept out of sight!
In the first open shelf, I have a pretty mooncake box reused as a jewelry box. On top, I have my Dyson Airwrap and its attachments. We also have a double socket in here for the hairdryer.
This little trinket tray was made at our first pottery session together! It's supposed to be two otters holding hearts. It would have been a lot cuter if it were painted, instead of a single colour glaze. It houses our wedding bands and rings that I wear on a daily basis.
That's all for now! See you in the next post, which is the rest of the master bedroom!
