Welcome to our entryway area 😊 It's an area where we honestly haven't really put in much thought towards the design. As we focused more towards a livable home in our main reno, this area has been kept simple. We have had our irregular mirror earlier on as we knew we wanted a spot to look at our fit before we head out the door. This also helps to open up the space even more and helped this space appears more spacious. The standing floor lamp was a random find one day when we were walking around our estate. I love how it illuminates the entire space without needing to turn on any other lights. Such a great find! Instead of concealing our bombshelter like how most would do so with carpentry, we decided to just use paint to paint the DB box doors and bombshelter door to match our wall paint. By doing so, this creates an illusion of a more seamless and airy space. I'm a big fan of letting air into my home for ventilation, but I'm also big on my privacy and don't feel comfortable with people peering into my home, especially when I'm relaxing on my sofa. So, I made my own reversible curtain attached with extension rods. I always buy my fabric from Brighton at Chinatown People's Park Centre, level 2. It's affordable and comes in so many designs. 
We did have our vents modified to close off the other side and swap out the bulky bombshelter vents to this seamless design. I think it really compliments with our simplified entryway design. However, do note that the original vents need to be reinstalled upon sale of home. I love how it looks like painted over with the same shade as our wall. I would have hated how jarring the original pale yellow/white colour would have stood out had I not painted it. 
This small little key holder was something we've always used since our rental days. I got it from Daiso and it has been serving us so well. When we moved here, I just got this key holder painted to match our walls. 
As we have a very open concept home, a lot of our spaces are interconnected with one another. In this case, upon entering, on the left will be our kitchen. So, we just have a rack holding our bin and our kitchen spices and dried goods. And lastly, along the stretch of our entryway just before the living room, we have our cat's water fountain and food eating area. And right beside the area is where we place all their toys. On a realistic day, the toys are usually scattered everywhere else - wherever they please. In future, we would like to add a metal locker to store our pull out shoe boxes to keep it more visually clutter free. For now, this space has been really functional for us at this current point of time.
