One benefit of resale flats is space and we are lucky to have huge rooms especially our study room! This room houses both our study tables, a bookshelf and even an upright piano, and we still have plenty of space to move around. This table makes use of an Alex cabinet from Ikea to double as storage and legs. This open shelf houses some of our books, documents, bags and sewing machine. 
We knocked down a 90 degree angled wall and replaced it with a 45 degree wall with glass. We love to look out from the study into the living room and it also allows us to keep an eye on the dogs when dogsitting. We have a couple of Alex cabinets in this room. We find them really useful and it is compatible with the height of the tables from Ikea as well. Protip: Use book holders to organise your small bags! Our sunny yellow study wall adds a lil sunshine and warmth to our place. The glass panel allows more sunlight and greenery to filter into the living room.
