A very blessed Christmas to all!! Hope everyone is still soaking in the festive season! :) And before we know it, it will soon be Chinese New Year - which also means more hosting and feasting with our beloved family and friends.
Tip 1: Choose a deeper dining table where possible.
This allowed us to create a centrepiece on our dining table of Christmas fir and other decorations. It helps set the mood and fills up the space so beautifully. We got the fir from Far East Plaza, and our home smelt wonderful for the weeks that we had them out.
Tip 2: Charcuterie Board!!
This is always so easy and fun to create! A little mix of everything and everyone loves them. There are a lot of shops selling curated charcuterie boards, but I do enjoy the process of putting everything together myself so I just grab all the items from the grocery stores.
It's also super easy to prepare this well ahead of time so we are able to have it out once guests arrive, and it gives them something to start snacking on before all guests arrive and the official dinner starts!
Tip 3: Built-In Oven!
Oh this worked super wonderfully for us this Christmas season. I made roasted chicken for 2 Christmas parties that we hosted and it turned out great, even though I've never done it before. But it was honestly super simple and because everything was in the oven, I could still do other things at home and catch up on a little Netflix while waiting since I did not have to stand by the stove and stir anything. The chicken oil was also dripping onto the roasted vegetables for that extra punch and flavour! Everyone LOVEEEED the chicken!!
Our built-in oven could fit 3 racks so we were able to roast the chicken, vegetables and still have space for pork ribs and sausages at the bottom rack! MAJOR LOVEEEE for our built-in oven!!
We hope that this gives you some inspiration for your next party/hosting session at home! And if you are here finding inspiration as you embark on your home renovation journey, that you consider how you would be hosting in future and contemplate investing in a deeper dining table + built-in oven.
And most importantly, may your home be filled with love and warmth as you host all who come through!
