An area of our home that saw one of the biggest transformations was our kitchen! The first thing we knew we wanted to do was to create an open kitchen. Here’s how it went… After hacking down the kitchen walls, we were left with so much more room to play with! We love how seamlessly the kitchen flows into the dining area, separated only by our kitchen island that gives us a ton of more counter space for food prepping, while also serving as a buffet counter when we’re hosting large groups, and a bar seating for serving coffee to friends. We chose to go with one laminate throughout the entire kitchen to create a unified look. We are so happy with how this laminate turned out, not too dark but not too light either, adding the perfect amount of depth and warmth to the space! We also used the same sintered stone for our counters and backsplash for a more seamless look. The sintered stone has been extremely easy to clean, while giving that organic look that we were seeking after. We also recommend investing in a good kitchen hood, especially for open kitchens. This dishwasher has been a lifesaver, especially when hosting big groups! We also like that it can be controlled from a mobile app so we always get notified once our dishes are done! As for our sink, we love the detachable nozzle that makes washing dishes so much easier. Getting a fridge with an ice maker was a must for us, and this one from Samsung ticked all our boxes. Another “splurge” we made was on our built-in microwave and oven, choosing to go with this matching set from Mayer. This combi steam oven has been super handy, and we love how many functions it offers. We use it almost every day! We also really recommend our tankless water dispenser from SK Magic. We like how fast the water flow rate is, and their customer service team is also great :) And that’s a wrap on our kitchen tour! Stay tuned as we share about more areas of our house :)
