Dai ga hou, welcome back and I'm bringing you onto the next tour of my house - the master bedroom. This is the least renovated area of the house with the wardrobe being the only built-in. The colour palette appears to be built with different shades of neutral, for the exception of the bed frame. There were many ideas in mind for designing the master bedroom - one that I particularly love is to have a dressing table divide to separate the wardrobe and sleeping area for enhanced coziness and disturbance. Due to reasons from medical needs and trying to keep renovation cost in check, this idea had to go. To compensate for more built-in storage needs, we got this queen-sized storage bed frame from Four Star that comes with 10-year warranty. Somehow, I only realised after that the bed frame looked different from the original colour that was chosen upon ordering. It was supposed to be some shade of beige but this looks greyish. One aesthetic mismatch that I have to put up with for a long time to go it seems. A section of the wardrobe has been cut out to serve as a bedside table without compromising an extra area. One regret that I have is not asking for built-in light and two-way switch to be place here. I've also asked for curved corners at this side of the wardrobe as part of the age-friendly design and for a more friendly look. 
When night falls. On the other corner of the bed, this is where the two-way switch is. I'm still on the hunt for a bedside table that suits my heart's desire. Currently on the list is Ikea's Ragrund corner shelf, or does anyone have a recommendation or two? Onto the next detail of the bedroom, these wood wardrobe handles were sourced from Taobao, while incorporating design and functional aspect for its usability. Due to joint problem, a levered door handle was preferred over flushed design for a more comfortable grip. Crevices trap more dust and dirt, so this headboard was deliberately chosen for its slim and flat profile to keep cleaning to the bare minimum. Here's into the wardrobe organisation. To the left is the AA-track shelves, so there can be flexibility when coming to storage needs. On your right I've opted for a pull-out trouser rack, also from Taobao. Fun fact: this kangaroo rug was a gift by a pen pal from Australia which could be considered as a family heirloom now! I was taught since young to use it as a drape over bed for superior comfort and warmth during the cooler days. While using this more as a safekeep, I discovered that the rug could also be used to define the bedside corner like this. Throwing in tea set and a book to add onto the coziness for a reading corner. 
The master bedroom is definitely still a work in progress and I can't wait to show you how much more this place can be transformed! Thank you for reading to this end and see you again next week!
